Lunch Program
The Chicago Public Schools participate in the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast programs, serving nutritious meals each school day. Some students are eligible for free and reduced-price lunches.

High School students can buy breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $2.10. Children from families whose households qualify are eligible for free or a reduced-price meals. Reduced-price meals cost $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch.

Please note that lunchroom prices mentioned above have been increased as of 2006 by an additional $0.25 for paid student meals and adult meals.  Also, the price of ala carte milk has been increased from $0.30 per half-pint to $0.35 per half-pint.
