1. North Park Nature Center
What: Restoration work cutting brush, planting and collecting seeds.

3. The Night Ministry
What: Assist making packages for the homeless.
Where: 4711 N. Ravenswood
When: 1st Saturday of each month

4. Alternatives, Inc.
What: Volunteers will help with tutoring, coaching and leading recreational activities.
Where: 4730 North Sheridan

5. Irving Park Food Pantry
What: Assist pantry volunteers and prepare food for needy families in Chicago.

6. Chicago Public Library
What: There are many opportunities for volunteers at the library. Students must attend training sessions.

7. WIC Food Centers
What: Read to young children while parents attend
meetings.

8. Magic After-School Place
What: Do you want to get your service-learning hours working with kids at an after-school program? Come volunteer!
Where: Irving Park and Pulaski.

9. Clean and Green Event
What: Help us clean our school and our community!
When: Saturday, April 17th, 2010 10:30am
Where: Carl Schurz High School front lawn.

10. Global Youth Service Day
What: Join millions of youth around the globe as they make a difference in their communities. Chicago Cares will be planning multiple service events.

11. Chicago Día del Niño Parade
What: Help with food, children’s activities, logistics, or park activities for this annual parade in Pilsen.
